Effective Date: March 29, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Event Rewind, LLC (“Event Rewind,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions, both of which are incorporated herein by reference.
By using the Platform, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this Policy. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time through our Cookie Preference Center, accessible via the “Cookie Settings” link in the site footer.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites function efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners about how their platform is used.
In addition to cookies, we may use related technologies including:
• Web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs): tiny invisible images embedded in web pages or emails that signal when content has been accessed;
• Local storage objects (LSOs) and session storage: browser-based storage mechanisms that function similarly to cookies;
• Software Development Kit (SDK) trackers: embedded in mobile applications to collect usage and diagnostic data;
• Device fingerprinting: a technique that collects browser and device attributes to identify a device across sessions.
For the purposes of this Policy, all of the above are referred to collectively as “cookies” unless otherwise specified.
2. HOW WE USE COOKIES
Event Rewind uses cookies for the following purposes:
• To enable essential platform functionality, including authentication and security;
• To remember your preferences and personalize your experience;
• To analyze how users interact with the Platform so we can improve our services;
• To measure the effectiveness of our communications and marketing efforts;
• To facilitate the operation of third-party tools and services integrated into the Platform (e.g., payment processors, analytics providers, embedded media players).
We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information such as financial account details, government identification numbers, or health data.
3. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES WE USE
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, completing a purchase, or setting privacy preferences. They do not store personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for the service to operate. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies through our preference center; they are always active.
3.2 Analytics and Performance Cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources, measure the performance of pages and features, and identify where improvements are needed. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous. Disabling these cookies means we cannot attribute your visit to the Platform for analysis purposes.
3.3 Functional / Preference Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your preferred language, region, display settings, or accessibility preferences. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our Platform. If you disable these cookies, some or all of these features may not function properly.
3.4 Targeting and Marketing Cookies
These cookies may be placed by our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content and advertising on other sites. They do not directly store personal information but work by uniquely identifying your browser and device. Disabling these cookies will not prevent you from seeing advertising, but the advertising you see may be less relevant to your interests.
3.5 Third-Party and Embedded Service Cookies
Some pages on our Platform may include content or tools provided by third parties, such as embedded video players, payment processing widgets, or social media share buttons. These third parties may set their own cookies on your device when you interact with their embedded features. Event Rewind does not control these cookies and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of those third parties directly.
Common third-party cookie providers that may be present on our Platform include, but are not limited to: Google (Analytics, Maps, Ads), Meta (Facebook Pixel), Stripe (payment processing), and YouTube (embedded video). Please see the Cookie Inventory in Section 5 for details.
Legal basis: Consent (for non-essential third-party cookies).
4. YOUR CHOICES AND HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES
4.1 Cookie Preference Center
You can review and update your cookie preferences at any time by clicking “Cookie Settings” in the footer of any page on our Platform. From the Cookie Preference Center you may toggle individual cookie categories on or off, with the exception of strictly necessary cookies, which are always active.
4.2 Browser-Level Controls
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Common instructions for major browsers:
• Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
• Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Please note that restricting cookies at the browser level may affect the functionality of many websites, not just Event Rewind. You may need to adjust your settings each time you use a different browser or device.
4.3 Opt-Out of Analytics Providers
You may opt out of analytics tracking by specific providers using the following tools:
• Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
• [Additional provider opt-out links to be populated by dev team]
4.4 Do Not Track
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing not be tracked. Event Rewind does not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no uniform industry standard for how they should be interpreted. We will revisit this position as regulatory guidance develops.
4.5 Mobile Devices
On mobile devices, you may be able to limit interest-based advertising through your device’s settings (e.g., “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” on Android). Refer to your device manufacturer’s documentation for instructions.
5. COOKIE INVENTORY
The table below identifies the specific cookies currently known to be in use on the Event Rewind Platform. This inventory is subject to change as the Platform evolves. Rows marked in italics with brackets are placeholders to be verified and updated by the Event Rewind development team prior to or promptly following Platform launch. The inventory will be updated periodically to reflect changes in our cookie practices.
6. CONSENT, WITHDRAWAL, AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
6.1 How We Obtain Consent
On your first visit to the Platform (and upon any material update to this Cookie Policy), we will present a cookie consent banner requiring you to make an affirmative choice before any non-essential cookies are set. Strictly necessary cookies are loaded immediately as they are required for the Platform to function. All other cookie categories require your explicit opt-in before activation.
6.2 Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time through the Cookie Preference Center (“Cookie Settings” in the site footer). Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to withdrawal. Please note that some features of the Platform may be limited or unavailable after you withdraw consent for certain cookie categories.
6.3 Consent Records
Event Rewind logs a record of your consent choices, including the date and time of consent, the version of the cookie policy in effect at that time, and the specific categories selected. These records are retained for a minimum of three (3) years to satisfy GDPR accountability requirements and may be provided to regulators upon request.
6.4 Legitimate Interest
Where we rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis for cookie processing (as noted in the inventory above), we have assessed that our interest in operating and improving the Platform does not override your privacy rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest by contacting us at privacy@eventrewind.com. Where your objection is upheld, we will cease such processing.
7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Some of the third-party cookie providers identified in this Policy are based outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom. Where cookies result in the transfer of personal data to a third country, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including reliance on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms under GDPR and UK GDPR.
For information on the safeguards applicable to a specific provider’s data transfers, please refer to that provider’s privacy documentation or contact us at privacy@eventrewind.com.
8. COOKIE RETENTION PERIODS
Cookies fall into two categories based on how long they persist on your device:
• Session cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They enable essential in-session functionality (e.g., maintaining a login state during a visit) and leave no persistent record on your device.
• Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a defined period after your session ends, or until you manually delete them. Retention periods vary by cookie and are identified in the Cookie Inventory in Section 5.
Where a persistent cookie does not expire within a period we consider reasonable for its stated purpose, or where circumstances change such that the cookie is no longer necessary, we will update our practices and this Policy accordingly.
9. COOKIES AND CHILDREN
The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly use cookies or similar tracking technologies to collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it. Parents or guardians with concerns should contact us at privacy@eventrewind.com.
10. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie practices, applicable law, or third-party services. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the Effective Date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, by displaying an updated cookie consent banner requesting renewed consent. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Policy has been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where we are required to obtain fresh consent for new or changed cookie practices, we will do so before deploying the relevant cookies.
